From Morobe to Madang: a world-class mineral province in the making

MINING in Australia involves some very identifiable mineral provinces. Among them are Mt Isa Inlier in Queensland’s far northwest, the Pilbara in Western Australia, Hunter Valley in New South Wales and Queensland’s Bowen Basin. By Brian Gomez

From all appearances, a mineral province of similarly spectacular wealth and potential is shaping up along a 300km corridor in Papua New Guinea.
