Efforts to move the heli-portable Parker Drilling Rig 226 from NGE's recently completed Stanley-4 well are half finished.
"Poor weather during the past two weeks has often grounded the helicopter required to transport the rig and equipment," NGE said.
Located in tenement PPL 269, the wet gas prospect is about 10 kilometres northeast of the Stanley gas-condensate discovery held by Horizon Oil and Talisman Energy's PNG subsidiary.
Both Talisman and NGE own half of PPL 269, but Talisman is acting as the operator of the Siphon-1 exploration well.
