InterOil, Mitsui start FEED on condensate facility

INTEROIL and Japan’s Mitsui & Co have started front-end engineering and design work for a proposed condensate stripping facility at InterOil’s Elk and Antelope fields in Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea.

Civil works investigation and field data gathering to support the FEED are proceeding simultaneously.

Meanwhile, InterOil said it had completed drilling the 90-degree bend in the Antelope-2 horizontal well and is preparing to run casing through the build section.

It will then drill out and test the horizontal lateral.

The company added that unanticipated mechanical problems had delayed Antelope-2 by 21 days.
