BEHRE Dolbear, one of the world’s oldest mining industry consultancy firms, has ranked PNG in the bottom five of nations “where not to invest” – largely due to corruption-linked permit delays – while Australia is seen as the ideal nation for mining investment.
The 2008 Where Not to Invest report from Behre has ranked 25 countries for mining investment through scores out of 10 covering economic, political and social factors.
