The 5000 metre drilling program aims to boost the shallow, established inferred resources of 35,400 gold ounces grading 2.05 grams per tonne.

The explorer's man-portable diamond core rig has started drilling while a larger heli-portable rig will be flown in.

Drilling is expected to continue right through the Christmas holiday period.
