Earlier this week a source told PNGIndustryNews.net that InterOil was gearing up for a big announcement on Thursday in relation to its Gulf LNG project in Papua New Guinea.
Alas, no big announcement came. It should be noted that there were some posters on certain message boards who also suspected a big announcement was coming Thursday and these claims were made before our recent report.
According to our source there were some unforeseen challenges which prevented any significant announcement on Thursday and given any potential project deal or proposal must be approved by the PNG government there will always be a possibility for more delays.
In regards to some of the comments made against the site and its editor, PNGIndustryNews.net is hopeful that some InterOil stock traders, if they are not being disingenuous, become smart enough to know that a claim attributed to a source does not mean it is made by the reporter who wrote the story.
In any event there could be a lot more volatility ahead for InterOil shares as PNGIndustryNews.net is receiving some confirmation that project discussions with the government and its bureaucrats are underway.
