Under the contract, Wood Group will provide brownfield EPC services, including construction and maintenance services, to ExxonMobil's Hides gas-conditioning plant.
It will also provide EPC services to the PNG LNG project.
Wood Group said it was pleased to win the contract because it effectively secured its position in the Australian and Asia-Pacific markets.
It is expected that the contract will require 500 personnel, with 300 new hires, mainly in maintenance.
Wood Group has been on a recent roll in the LNG space, confirming earlier this month that it had won a $10m, 12-month extension of a pipeline project management contract with the GLNG project in joint venture with Wagners.
Previously, it had won a multi-million dollar contract with GDF Suez Bonaparte, securing its place with a new player in the FLNG space in Australia.
WGK was awarded a pre-feed subsea concept definition study contract from the subsidiary of GDF Suez for the Bonaparte LNG project.
