NGE plans for PNG funding

NEW Guinea Energy plans to explore for assets that can be developed quickly after ExxonMobil’s PNG subsidiary Esso Highlands pulled out of a $US40 million ($A44.63 million) deal.

NGE said its strategy was to monetise its gas assets and explore for oil close to the PNG shore after Esso Highlands withdrew an offer to acquire interests in PPL 269, affecting the timing of its
