Spin-off benefits from PNG asylum site

PAPUA New Guinea’s local businesses in Manus are benefitting from spin-off business opportunities through the regional processing centre for asylum seekers.

The Australian High Commission in Port Moresby said major contractors Decmil, Red Seas Housing and Toll Remote Logistics had engaged at least 60 PNG-based subcontractors to work at the Lombrum centre.
