Oil, gas and refined products sales amounted to $201.7 million, while the remaining $8.3 million came from other field revenue including rig lease income and infrastructure tariffs.

Revenue for the whole year came in at $766.3 million, a 6% year-on-year increase from 2012's $724.6 million effort.

Production in the fourth quarter was 1.77 million barrels of oil equivalent, taking production for the whole year to 6.74MMboe, another 6% increase on 2012.

The company attributed the increased production to active field management, new work-overs and wells, and high facilities uptime, which it said counteracted natural field decline.

At the end of the quarter, Oil Search had a cash balance of $210 million and a debt of $4.02 billion from its PNG LNG project finance facility and the company's corporate facility.

Cash and undrawn funds combined amounted to a total liquidity of $510 million.

Exploration, development and production costs for the quarter were $392.6 million, with 307.4 million of it going towards the PNG LNG project.

The PNG LNG project is a 6.9 million tonne per annum integrated LNG project that will source gas from the Hides, Angore and Juha gas fields and from associated gas in the Kutubu, Agogo, Moran and Gobe Main oil fields in PNG.

The project is nearing completion, with its status at the end of the quarter recorded at more than 90%.

Interest in developing the P'nyang field as a possible resource to expand the project has formed part of the company's ongoing strategy.

The company also has operations in Yemen, Iraq and Tunisia.
