THE remains of two Australian army commandoes have been buried in Papua New Guinea 69 years after they were killed during World War II.

Lance Corporal Spencer Walklate and Private Ronald Eagleton were members of the Z Special Unit and were killed by Japanese troops during a sea patrol near Wewak, PNG in 1945.
