Kingsgate looks ahead after trauma

KINGSGATE Consolidated chairman Ross Smyth-Kirk has lamented the company’s dismal year, which saw the death of its CEO and the sacking of his successor, but said the board was committed to returning the gold producer to its former glory.

Speaking at the company's annual general meeting in Sydney this afternoon, Smyth-Kirk paid tribute to Gavin Thomas, who died in June after a battle with illness.
