MRA maps to cut costs

TWO geological maps recently compiled by the Mineral Resources Authority have the potential to cut exploration costs for resource companies, with managing director Philip Samar telling local media that investors should not be burdened with extra financial costs.

Launched at a ceremony last week, the Wau and Biaru maps - covering areas in Papua New Guinea's Morobe province - were the result of a four-year mapping project which cost just less than K3 million.
