The bank's human resources strategic business unit conducted the renovation as part of their community projects for 2016.
Across all branches of BSP, strategic business units are involved in a community project, where staff volunteer their time during weekends to assist.
The renovation involved replacing facia boards and posts, replacing rotten corridor walls and repainting the building.
The team also placed a new notice board and erected benches in front of the office. Apart from these tasks, they also did some general cleaning around the office.
BSP human resources GM Giau Duruba said the project was part of BSP's commitment to the communities in which it operates.
"At BSP, we are not just a bank and not just a brand. We are people, we are culture, we are friends, and we are changing lives through our various corporate social responsibility initiatives. This is just one of many things we do throughout PNG," Duruba said.
Head teacher Elia Auka said he was impressed with the work and praised BSP for lending a helping hand, as the project have given a timely boost for the school.
"The renovation has certainly lifted the school's image and has boosts morale for both teachers and students and we are more confident in teaching and learning."
