The Post Courier reports that the Autonomous Bougainville Government is operating on just under $US10 million while the budget of the ABG is $US111 million

The ABG is entitled to these funds under provisions of the 2001 Bougainville Peace Agreement which is enshrined in the PNG constitution.

The PNG government is yet to say when it will release the funds.

The ABG President John Momis says while he understands the current economic constraints, the ABG is entitled to these funds.
