"This new service means BSP customers can make bookings via the Air Niuguini website, make a booking, obtain a booking reference and then purchase via BSP Mobile Banking. No need to visit sales office, no need to stand in line," BSP said.

The mobile airline ticket payment facility is available to subscribers of Digicel and Bmobile-Vodafone.

BSP said that to buy a ticket, customers would have to key in *277# using BSP Mobile Banking and then follow the prompts. The purchase is done within minutes.

Payments will be directly debited from their BSP account and paid to Air Niugini and an eticket number will be delivered by text message to the customer's mobile phone.
