Bank of South Pacific staff have handed over the new bus stop shelter and waiting area after assisting with the project by digging gutters around the shelter, painting seats, posts, frames, installing rubbish bin stands and doing a general clean up.
The main construction of frames was done with the support of a local contractor.
The BSP branch in Bialla also donated a 9000 litre water tank to Vilelo Primary School near the town in the Government Land Settlement Scheme block.
"The school does not have a water supply plant and relies only on two water tanks. The tanks cater for about 400 plus students and staff with their dependents," BSP said.
Bialla Local Level Government manager Sabina Misili and Vilelo Primary School principal Leo Pokas thanked BSP for the contributions.
BSP's Jeffrey Singer said: "While we stand as a corporate organisation, each of our staff is a part of a community. We urge students and the local community to take care of the facilities and for the betterment of our future," Singer said.
