A conference scheduled for early next year intends to rectify this.
EMTV reported that Duban, who was announcing the launch of PNG's inaugural Petroleum and Energy Summit for early 2017, is hoping to sell PNG's energy potential to the world.
The summit will be co-hosted by the Ministry and Department of Petroleum and Energy and Kumul Petroleum Holdings.
It will be the first-ever industry related summit undertaken in the country.
Duban with was with Kumul managing director Wapu Sonk when he announced that the conference would take place in Port Moresby from February 28 to March 1.
Sonk said the event would be comprise interactive discussions which will help shape the country's energy sector moving forward.
