Royal Brunei says Sharan is an industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience in airline sales, marketing, business development and freight most recently with Solomon Airlines and before that, with Fiji Airways.
The airline says Sharan is well known to the Australian, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific travel industry having worked with them very closely over many years based in Sydney and Fiji.
"We are extremely delighted to have Victor on-board as we grow our presence in Australia. His knowledge, experience and industry relationships are key to our continued success in the Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific markets," Royal Brunei chief executive Karam Chand said.
Royal Brunei operates daily flights from Melbourne and will restart services from Brisbane on June 11 this year. The airline says it offers direct flights to Brunei and very good connections to London, Dubai, Seoul, Tokyo, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and many other destinations in Asia.
Sharan will be based in Melbourne and oversee all the airline's operations in Australia and business development in New Zealand and Pacific islands, with cooperation from local airlines.
